I work with publishers and content-focused teams whose ways of working no longer match the landscape around them. Coverage has expanded, channels have multiplied, priorities have blurred, and content no longer reflects audience needs and commercial realities.
My focus is helping teams restore coherence across publishing operations. That includes clarifying editorial direction and positioning, aligning strategy to clearly defined audience needs, simplifying governance and planning, reshaping team structures, and redesigning information architecture so content is easier to commission, produce and reuse.
The result is a publishing system that works more effectively, with less reliance on constant reactive fixes.
I've led multi-market publishing systems across 55 markets and 27 languages as Managing Editor for MSN International at Microsoft, and held earlier editorial roles at AOL UK and Archant. I later set up and led strategy and production for WPP’s content marketing agency in EMEA, working with global brands and specialist B2B organisations where editorial quality, governance and commercial realities needed to align.
My engagements range from strategic reviews and operating model design to interim or fractional leadership roles. Where relevant, this also includes practical integration of AI into editorial workflows, with clear standards and human oversight.
